Ms. Amanda and Ms. Lauren met while working at Woonsocket Head Start Child Development Association. They became a teaching team and worked together for 6 years until Lauren left to finish her education at Rhode Island College. When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, Amanda made the very difficult decision to leave WHSCDA and home school her daughter and nephews. The silver lining to this was starting her own business. After talking about this dream with Lauren, it was decided they would take this on together. Kinder-Prep Preschool & Childcare LLC is run out of Amanda's home in Blackstone, MA and Lauren resides in Cumberland, RI. Together they use their experiences at WHSCDA, combined with their own ideas about the education of young children, to create a classroom where all students can be successful and well cared for.
