At Kinder-Prep, we believe that play is the work of the child. We strive to instill a love of learning and make each child's first school experience a positive one. We use a combination of child-directed and teacher-directed activities in our classroom. We feel it is important for children to play freely and build on their own ideas but also learn to follow a given activity. Working through challenges helps us grow! Teachers are always there to support children as they explore, create, and discover. At Kinder-Prep, every preschooler is a little scientist and is encouraged to ask questions about the world around them.
We view our classroom as a community that everyone is expected to care for each day. Children will develop and build on many independence skills by actively participating in daily routines. We practice being helpful, respectful, and kind to one another. Children will also learn about taking care of themselves, being responsible, and maintaining a positive self image.
